DMA Statement on Eileen Higgins’ Strong Showing in Miami’s Mayoral Race

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Democratic Mayors Association shared the following statement after Eileen Higgins’ strong showing led to a runoff in the Miami Mayor’s race: 

“Eileen Higgins’ strong finish tonight proves that Miami residents are ready for a new Mayor who will lead boldly on issues of affordability, climate action, infrastructure, and more. We are proud to stand with Eileen as voters return to the ballot box for a runoff, and we know her vision of an inclusive, resilient, and prosperous Miami will lead her to victory.”
