Today, DMA is endorsing John Ewing Jr. for Mayor of Omaha, NE and Gina Ortiz Jones for Mayor of San Antonio, TX. These endorsements reflect DMA’s commitment to advancing bold, steady leadership rooted in the values of service, results, and putting communities over chaos.

With over four decades of dedicated public service, John Ewing Jr. brings unparalleled experience to his candidacy for Omaha mayor. His tenure includes nearly 25 years with the Omaha Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Deputy Chief, and 18 years as Douglas County Treasurer. Ewing emphasizes restoring public trust, enhancing public safety, and improving infrastructure. He advocates for strategic and equitable road construction and repair plans, ensuring that city services meet the needs of all Omaha residents.
Gina Ortiz Jones – San Antonio, Texas
Gina Ortiz Jones was raised in San Antonio, is an Air Force and Iraq War veteran, and served as the 27th Under Secretary of the Air Force. Jones brings a deep understanding of public service and a steady hand to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic city. She has built her campaign around core priorities like expanding economic opportunity, improving public safety, and restoring trust in local government.
