Welcome to NCDM
The National Conference of Democratic Mayors (NCDM) gives Democrats a united voice with which to advocate on behalf of American cities. And what an exciting time to be a Democrat!
Job Growth
May 2010 represented the fifth consecutive month of continued job growth. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Report, the economy added hundreds of thousands of jobs, including 41,000 private sector jobs. As a result, the unemployment rate dropped to 9.7 percent in May.
The American economy is growing again, Americans are going back to work, and our country is moving in the right direction. But far too many American’s continue to feel the impact of the economic fall-out. We must continue to advocate for policies and programs that will promote job growth and economic recovery.

VOTE 2010
Organizing for America kicked off VOTE 2010, an unprecedented effort to return people who participated in the political process for the first time in 2008 back to the polls in 2010. This is a critical coordinated effort for voter contact. We need to show that 2008 was more than electing a new President – it was about a new era of engagement and a commitment to change.
