DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz Addresses June NCDM Meeting in Baltimore

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was the keynote speaker at the June NCDM
Meeting in Baltimore. She discussed the role of cities as the backbone of our country and mayors as crucial to the success of our communities. Reminding us of the important work of the Obama administration- passing the Recovery Act and Affordable Care Act, fighting for the National Export Initiative and investing in clean energy- she outlined why we must work hard in the 2011 and 2012 elections to elect and re-elect Democrats. Because mayors know their
community better than anyone else, Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz asked Democratic Mayors to be an important part of the 2012 election cycle. She reminded us that if we make the choice clear between the failed policies of the Republicans and the real solutions Democrats provide -- we can win and we will win.
